You might think the fact that a student named Carson Huey-You is about the graduate from a university in Texas is fairly ordinary.

But the story takes on a rather amazing twist when you find out he's actually only 14 years old.

The teenager has been studying at Texas Christian University for four years and on Saturday (May 13) he is set to graduate with a double minor in Chinese and maths and a major in physics.

Many other students at the university have commented on Carson and one pupil reflected on first meeting him.

He said: "I'll never forget walking in. He said in Chinese that he was a junior, and I was like no, that can't be right. And then he turned out to be cool too. Like, he's not just a genius. He's also awesome."

The teenager's mother, Claretta Kimp, claims she knew that Carson was smarter than other children when he was 2 or 3 years old, according to CBS News.

She said that one day the wind blew and he started asking about the velocity of the wind, and that's when she realised how clever he was.

Her youngest son, aged 11, is also set to graduate from high school today (May 12), and is going to start at the same university in autumn.
