Three hundred and fifty people have reported child sex abuse in football, police say.

The NSPCC said earlier that police referrals from calls during the first three days of a new dedicated football abuse hotline more than tripled the amount made in the same period during the Jimmy Savile scandal.

Recent media reports have helped to prompt more people to come forward with abuse claims, after former football player Andy Woodward first spoke out about being abused

Both the Football Association and Greater Manchester police have launched an inquiry into the claims.
