An actor who was accused of filming a woman in a changing room on his phone has been cleared - after admitting he was actually using his phone as a torch to search for drugs.
The woman had seen his phone under the partition in a changing room, with the camera pointing towards her, whilst she was half-dressed, according to Court News UK.
She then confronted the man, Nikolai Hoyle, in his cubicle about the incident, as she believed he was recording her.
However, he said he was looking for cocaine and marijuana sachets which had fallen as he was trying on clothes.
He was then able to later find the drugs by using a coat hanger and went to a toilet cubicle to hide them in his boxers.
However, police then found him in the toilet cubicle, due to the incident in the changing rooms, and discovered his drugs.
In court he was asked why he did not flush the drugs away so that the police would not find them, but Hoyle said: "I’m not going to flush the drugs, they cost me nearly £200."
Despite being cleared over voyeurism, he has been convicted of resisting arrest and fined £106.
