A lot of celebrities like to give back to their fans, but we imagine giving them malware or a computer virus is probably not what they meant.
A study conducted by Intel Security has ranked the celebrities most likely to infect your computer, and the all-conquering actress-comedian Amy Schumer tops its list. If you search for the Trainwreck star, there's a more-than-16% chance you'll land on a website carrying viruses or malware.
It's not just Amy. Those who search for other major celebrities like Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus can also be vulnerable to computer infections, according to the list.
The research showed that people are often tricked by malicious webpages claiming to offer the latest gossip about these celebrities with free downloads. The trap is in the downloads, which infect your computer and leave you powerless.
Links to these websites can also be found on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook, compounding the risk.
Intel Security have advised to think twice if a website asks you for your personal information. So when searching for Amy Schumer, Justin Bieber, or any of the others - watch where you click.
