Anti-Brexit activists have put up a billboard in Boris Johnson's constituency likening him to the US president Donald Trump.

The billboard in Uxbridge depicts the leadership contender's face blended with Mr Trump's, along with the strapline "Make Britain Hate Again".

The large-scale poster in west London has been put up by youth campaign group Our Future Our Choice, who claim the divisive politicians both have the "same political playbook".

They have also produced stickers featuring the Johnson-Trump hybrid, which they plan to put up around cities, universities and festivals.

In a video unveiling the poster positioned near to South Ruislip tube station, OFOC's spokesman Femi Oluwole, said: "Donald Trump and Boris Johnson have the same political playbook.

"They stoke division, pick on Muslims and minorities, and have both lied their way to power.”

The poster's arrival in Mr Johnson's Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency comes as the Conservative leadership race draws to a close.

The new Prime Minister is expected to be announced on July 23, after votes by Tory Party members are counted.

Co-president of OFOC, Lara Spirit, added; “Just 0.25 per cent of the population will decide if Boris Johnson becomes our next Prime Minister. Their average age is almost 60.

"If you think Boris Johnson represents the views and interests of my generation, think again.”
