The vote on Article 50 is not about Brexit but rather about the validity of last year's referendum, says Labour MP Richard Burgon.
The Government has published a bill on Article 50, which will be debated in Parliament before MPs vote on whether to trigger it, and therefore start the Brexit process.
Shadow justice secretary Burgon told George Galloway: “It’s not actually a vote about whether we should leave the European Union or not, it is a vote in my view about whether or not we think the outcome of that referendum was valid.
"I think it’s a matter of principle that we need to accept the democratic outcome of the referendum.
“It would be a disaster for the Labour party to be seen to stand in the way of the outcome of the EU referendum."
