Someone has been regularly dumping bags of headless chickens at a cemetery in Texas.

Jorge Vergan, who manages the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in El Paso, told KTSM-TV that some of the bags dropped off included clothing stained with blood, as well as sanitary towels and money.

The packages have been dropped off at around the same time of day at the gates during each visit, according to the Chron news site.

A security video has been taken of the incidents and police have written a report, as well as taking photos.

Reverend Henry Flores believes the bags are meant as a sacrifice in an attempt to say thankyou, describing the ritual as a form of dark magic.

He believes anyone who finds such items should be extremely careful in the way that they remove them.

The bags have been burnt by staff members at the cemetery.
