Bake Off evictee Chris Geiger has told talkRADIO he thought he could "knock the judges dead" before being turfed out - but says he has no regrets about his nine months on the show.

Geiger, who survived cancer, became the second contestant to be evicted from the GBBO tent after his biscuit board game didn't pull through.

He spoke candidly of his time on the Channel 4 show, telling Paul Ross and Carole Malone: "It’s consumed nine months of my life. You go through loads and loads of tests, bakes, and interviews.

"As you saw, the writing was on the wall for me. That wasn’t my strongest bake – bread was my thing.

"I just thought if I could claw through the first couple of weeks, I’d knock them dead later.

"I loved every minute of it, it was a huge thrill."
