Las Ramblas was the scene of terror last week

Officials in Barcelona have evacuated Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya over a suspicious package.

It is being reported that a tourist bus has been stopped on the Carrer de Pelai, which runs off Las Ramblas, after a potentially explosive device was found on-board.

An investigation is in process, and police are at the scene. Local people have been publishing footage on social media.

It is not clear whether the incident is related to last week's terror attacks on Las Ramblas and the nearby town of Cambril.

A total of 15 people died in the two attacks, and Barcelona remains in mourning four days on.

More to follow.
