BBC makes Ryan Lochte gaffe, internet punishment is swift

If you're in charge of the BBC's Twitter account, look away now. 

The Beeb published a tweet about Ryan Lochte earlier, suggesting he'd been banned from swimming over the Olympics petrol station farrago. Which isn't strictly true; he was banned from competitive swimming. You can't actually be banned from swimming. 

Naturally, Twitter's troupe of trolls sprang into action and punished the BBC mercilessly for its rather obtuse message.
