Trisha Goddard caused an uncomfortable moment for Susanna Reid this morning after asking her if she and Piers Morgan are paid the same amount of money. 

The actress and TV presenter was on Good Morning Britain to discuss the recent revelations regarding payments made to several employees of the BBC. 

A report published on Wednesday revealed the earnings of 96 BBC employees, and revealed a vast disparity between men and women - with Chris Evans, the highest-earning man, earning over four times as much as his female counterpart Claudia Winkleman. 

Discussing this on the ITV show, Goddard asked if Reid and her co-host earn the same, catching the presenter off-guard. 

The GMB host replied she didn't know, as ITV is not state-funded and bound to a certain level of transparency.
