The body of a 13-year-old boy has been found in a burnt-out shed in a village near Doncaster.

The emergency services were called to the scene at around 9pm last night after reports of a fire, according to South Yorkshire Police.

It wasn't until the fire was put out that the body was found inside, at Byron Avenue in Campsall.

This morning the police said, "While formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of a 13-year-old boy.

"A joint investigation between South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is continuing this morning."

Two fire engines had attended the scene, which South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue described as a "tragic accident."
