The son of tennis star Boris Becker is reportedly planning to press charges against an AfD party MP who allegedly described him as a "little half-negro."
German MP Jens Maier allegedly tweeted: "It seems the little half-negro simply got too little attention - that's the only explanation for his behaviour."
The tweet has now been removed from his account, but Maier told Bild Daily newspaper the message was sent by one of his staff members.
The alleged tweet is said to relate to an interview where Noah Becker complained that he is known as the "eternal son" of his father.
The Becker's family lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser told Bild Daily newspaper he will "quickly take the necessary steps under criminal and civil law against MP Jens Maier on the basis of this clearly racist tweet."
Noah Becker decided to take legal action after discussing the matter with his father, according to The Local.
This is the second time this week the AfD party has caused controversy by using Twitter as the police have filed a complaint against its deputy parliamentary leader Beatrix von Storch.
She allegedly tweeted to criticise police in Cologne for writing a New Year message in Arabic which police believe violates laws against incitement to hate.
