Boris Johnson has blasted Russia for supposedly covering up the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian government.
The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and United Nations' Joint Investigative Mechanism said on Thursday the research conducted by their experts were “confident” the body was behind the attack on Khan Sheikhoun in April.
The incident claimed more than 90 lives and was universally condemned.
In the wake of the report’s release, the Foreign Secretary has accused Moscow of undermining efforts to prevent usage of the banned weapons due to the relationship it has with Basher Assad.
Johnson accused Russia of trying to shield the Assad regime from accountability for the gas attack.
He vowed on Twitter their alleged efforts would not stop the UK from trying to get justice for the victims.
