A Boris Johnson effigy sporting a cycle helmet, Hawaiian shorts and Brexit buses for shoes is the Guy of choice for a Kent-based bonfire society this year.
The Edenbridge Bonfire Society, which was founded in 1928, organises the November celebration every year.

“This year we announce Boris Johnson as our celebrity effigy for 2018, as a result of his continuing habit to be in the news and his never-ending gaffes.”
The 36-foot-tall Boris joins the likes of Donald Trump, Harvey Weinstein, Tony Blair and Sepp Blatter in the line of famous faces who’ve been parodied by the Edenbridge society.
The effigy was painted by artist Andrea Deans.
