Priti Patel has been replaced by Penny Mordaunt as International Development Secretary.
Patel resigned yesterday (November 8) over controversy about meetings she held in Israel about which she reportedly failed to inform the government.
Before being given this position Mordaunt was disabilities minister in the Department for Work and Pensions, according to the BBC. The politician may also be recognisable for her appearance in 2014 on the TV show Splash!.
Some thought that the MP for Portsmouth North might have replaced Sir Michael Fallon last week. He resigned following allegations of inappropriate behaviour. The Defence Secretary was subsequently replaced by Gavin Williamson.
Mordaunt has now arrived at the Department for International Development but did not give a comment to the media.
Theresa May is reshuffling her Cabinet following Patel's resignation. Sarah Newton is now a minister within the Department for Work and Pensions.
In the Home Office, Victoria Atkins has been appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.
