BREAKING Rocket sirens sounded in Israeli communities near Gaza border

Monday, April 10, 2017

Rocket sirens have sounded in Israeli communities near the border with Gaza.

Sirens were also heard near the border with Egypt, according to local media.

It is also being reported that a rocked fired from Gaza landed in open area in Talme Josef, just a few miles from Gaza.

The alert was sounded on the first day of passover, the Jewish holiday which will be celebrated across Israel.

Tensions between Israel and the Palestinian Territories have been simmering for months, driven largely by Israel's bullish approach to settlements. However the circumstances surrounding today's reported rocket attack are unclear.
