The Supreme Court will back the High Court's decision on Article 50, according to a leading journalist.

The High Court has made the decision that Theresa May must consult Parliament before she can trigger Article 50, however the Government is appealing the decision.

Oliver Wright, policy editor at the Times newspaper, told Julia Hartley-Brewer that believes "the Supreme Court will back the High Court decision" but suggested that it's unlikely Theresa May will call another general election next year, because she hasn't got an excuse to go back on her decision of not calling one.

Wright suggested that "what MPs want, its a horrible phrase but they want a road map, they want to see what [Mrs May] ideally wants" to negotiate in the Brexit deal.
