Jean-Claude Juncker met Theresa May to discuss Brexit

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

Reports of Jean Claude-Juncker's horror at last week's Brexit dinner are nothing more than a "crude" and "dirty" attempt by Europe to divide and rule, according to The Telegraph's Europe editor.

Peter Foster was speaking about a report which appeared in the German media over the weekend, claiming European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker was left stunned and appalled by a dinner with Theresa May to discuss Brexit last week. The report was allegedly taken from a leak by Juncker himself.

Peter Foster told Julia Hartley-Brewer that this version of events has been deliberately leaked to undermine Britain and make sure all blame falls on the British during the negotiations. But Foster also agreed with Julia that this plan may be counter-productive, as Remainers may take the Brexiteers' side as they see how badly the European side is behaving.
