European business leaders are to meet Theresa May to discuss the future of trade with the European Union on Monday.
The Prime Minister is going to play for the support of European businesses in order to attempt to move Brexit talks onward to trade talks.
The event has been organised by the Confederation of British Industry, and in it, May will lay out a vision of a “deep and bold” partnership between the European Union and the United Kingdom post-Brexit.
Representatives from various companies, like French corporation Medef and EU-wide BusinessEurope, are due to be in attendance.
Also scheduled to appear are Business Secretary Greg Clark and Brexit Secretary David Davis.
The meeting comes ahead of a key EU summit for European leaders, where talks could advance to trade if the 27 member-states agree progress has been made on the issues of citizens rights, the financial liability, and the Irish border.
