Brexit won't turn City of London into a ghost town, says political editor

Britain's vote to leave the European Union won't lead to a flight of firms from the City of London, according to political editor Adam Bienkov.

The journalist spoke to Julia Hartley-Brewer after Theresa May gave an interview to Sky News about her Brexit plans.

Bienkov, of Business Insider, said London will remain one of the world's great financial centres although some firms might consider moving some staff to New York.

The journalist added that we didn't really learn anything new from the interview and Mrs May didn't say a great deal more than she's said previously.

However he added that the Prime Minister's comments gave some indication that we're heading for a hard Brexit, leaving the single market and probably the customs union in the process.
