The huge influx of foreign workers into Britain has turned the minimum wage into the maximum wage, according to the chairman of Migration Watch UK.

Andrew Green spoke to Julia Hartley-Brewer about new figures from the Office of National Statistics which reveal that 95% of new workers are foreign.

Green said that in many sectors "it would seem the minimum wage has become the maximum wage."

He added that foreign workers who take these low-paid jobs "add to the pressure on public services, they add to the overcrowding on our island."

He believes we need to ask ourselves if the jobs would be filled by British people if wages went up.
