Cancelling Milo Yiannopoulos' talk is "a form a fascism," yet using health and safety to shut down arguments people disagree with is common, claims Breitbart journalist James Delingpole
A school has cancelled a planned talk from Breitbart's Yiannopoulos over safety concerns, after speaking to the Department for Education Counter Extremism Unit. However, the Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys said pupils and parents had been in favour of the event.
Author James Delingpole told Julia Hartley-Brewer that "tactics by the way of using health and safety issues as a way of closing down arguments that you don’t want to hear is quite common."
He believes this "is a form a fascism" and "children have been denied the opportunity to hear an articulate, charming persuasive person," just because of "a bunch of lefty civil servants at the department of education."
