One of the men wanted by police in connection with Saturday's explosion in New York is in custody following a shootout with police, according to reports.

Ahmad Ramadi was reportedly carried away on a stretcher following the shootout in Linden, New Jersey. Video footage purportedly showing Rahami on the stretcher has now emerged.

At least one officer was reportedly injured in the shootout, which came only hours after Rahami had been named by US authorities as a suspect in connection with the explosion which took place in Chelsea, injuring 29 people.

The FBI poster suggested he was a naturalised American citizen of Afghan descent, and was considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities have suggested the explosion in Manhattan was linked to the discovery of five bombs in the New Jersey town of Elizabeth, which was Rahami's last known place of residence.
