Jeremy Corbyn is set to introduce band Run The Jewels at Glastonbury this year and many have been celebrating the news on Twitter.

He will appear on the Pyramid Stage before the American hip hop group on Saturday June 24, according to The Guardian.

The Labour leader was supposed to appear at the festival last year but pulled out due to the EU referendum.

The founder of the festival Michael Eavis said: “We’re Corbyn fans, that’s the thing.

“He’s got something new and precious, and people are excited about it. He really is the hero of the hour.”

Most people on Twitter seem quite excited at the prospect and whilst some have suggested, rather sarcastically, that Theresa May could be better, others think Run The Jewels and Corbyn are a great match.
