The construction on the prototypes for the US-Mexico border wall has begun in California.
The planned barrier was the centrepiece of Donald Trump's campaign, with the then-candidate insisting it would be paid for by Mexico in 2016.
Contracts to build prototypes for the final wall were handed out earlier this year, and construction has begun in San Diego.
The project is three months behind schedule due to complications arising from various bidders and unspecified delays.
Images of the work taking place have been posted on social and a variety of media outlets.
Funding for the concrete wall is also being provided by the United States, rather than Mexico.
Donald Trump has not made a comment about this matter as of yet.
