Detectives are hunting a suspected rapist who targeted a lone woman in a "horrific attack". 

The victim, who is in her 20s, was walking to her car in Tooting, south London just after midnight on 21st September, when she was attacked by a man who forced her into a nearby building and raped her. 

He is described as Asian, slim, aged between 20 and 25, around 5ft 7in and with a thin moustache. He was wearing glasses, a red hooded top and light coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Inspector Andrew Wadey said, "This was a horrific attack on a lone woman and it is paramount that the person responsible for inflicting such trauma on this woman is caught without delay.

"A number of enquires have been carried out and we have managed to successfully obtain a DNA profile of the suspect.

"I would like to encourage anyone who believes they know the person responsible for carrying out this attack to contact us.

"As we have a DNA profile, any information about potential suspects given to us can be quickly and easily eliminated or verified so I would like to reassure anyone that is concerned about providing information."
