The man who has successfully predicted every presidential election since 1984, now believes Donald Trump will face impeachment.
Allan Lichtman, dubbed the "prediction professor" said: "There's a very good chance that Donald Trump could face impeachment," on Erin Burnett OutFront.
The political historian revealed that he usually uses a system of 13 true or false statements to foretell whether the next party will keep the White House, but this prediction is based on instinct.
Lichtman alleged: "[Mr Trump] has run an illegal charity in New York state. He has made an illegal campaign contribution through that charity. He has used the charity to settle personal business debts. He faces a RICO [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisation Act] lawsuit.
"He is a loose canon. Nobody knows what he really believes or really where he stands. He can't be controlled.
"The Republicans would vastly prefer to have Mike Pence, an absolutely predictable down-the-pipe conservative Republican."
