Donald Trump's likely decision to withdraw to the Paris climate change deal has been backed by leading author James Delingpole, who says the world is spending "outrageous sums of money" on the deal.
Delingpole, a renowned climate change sceptic and columnist for right-wing website Breitbart, said the Chinese aren't stupid and they don't believe in the Paris climate change agreement.
Trump is due to make an official announcement of his policy on the climate change deal today, with analysts suggesting he is almost certain to withdraw from the agreement.
The news has prompted fierce criticism. But Delingpole, whose books include the sceptical Watermelons: The Green Movement's True Colors, said there is a lot of bluff and bluster surrounding climate change.
Delingpolebelieves the figure given that 97% of scientists agree that climate change is man-made is only based on simple questions even he would say yes to, and he doesn't believe we should be ploughing so much money into the climate change industry.
Delingpole thinks climate change is within normal historical levels and the money spent on climate change could be better spent, for example on providing clean drinking water for all and eradicating diseases.
