Donald Trump's own Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch, has criticised the President for his attacks upon the judges presiding over his appeal.
After judge James Robart blocked Mr Trump's controversial executive order on immigration into the US from seven majority-Muslim countries in the Middle East, Mr Trump lashed out at him on social media, calling him a a "so-called judge".
The new President has also attacked the judges currently overseeing his appeal to reinstate the travel ban, even though they have yet to reach a verdict. Speaking at a law enforcement conference yesterday, Mr Trump accused them of holding a "political" court.
In response, Gorsuch has labelled Mr Trump's comments "disheartening and demoralising", according to a senator called Richard Blumenthal who met the nominee on Wednesday.
Gorsuch is currently waiting to see if he will be approved by the Senate to join the bench of Supreme Court justices.
