Donald Trump has issued a new warning to North Korea over the ongoing drive to develop nuclear weapons.
The US President made a new statement in a speech to South Korean lawmakers while on his diplomatic tour of Asia.
In it, he addressed North Korean leader Kim Jong-un directly, saying the weapons he was working to acquire would only put his people in danger.
He warned the North to not "underestimate" or "try us", because America and its allies would defend "our common security", "shared prosperity" and liberty.
Trump also told Kim Jong-un that North Korea was not the paradise his grandfather had envisoned upon the country's formation.
The speech came after bad weather forced the President's envoy to cancel a planned trip to the Demilitarised Zone.
