The cast of Downton Abbey will only return to the film version if the storyline is good, according to a TV critic.
Reports claim that Downton Abbey writer Julian Fellowes is reuniting with the show producers to create a Downton Abbey film, set to begin filming in autumn this year.
Toby Earle, the Evening Standard's TV editor, told Carole Malone that the cast love the show and love working as a unit, but they won't do the film unless they feel the story is a worthwhile extension to the series.
He also suggested that the storyline in the film could be hard to get right as so many loose ends were tied up at the end of the last series, but there is an appetite from the public for this film to be made so it will definitely make sense financially.
