Donald Tusk had a very strange reaction to Theresa May's big announcement today.
The UK Prime Minister announced she would ask Parliament to hold a snap-general election in June, apparently as a result of other party's opposition to the Government's plans for Brexit.
After the announcement was made, Ms May spoke to the president of the European Council, who then informed the world of their conversation.
The first tweet he posted was perfectly respectable:
But then it just got weird:
Yes. The President of the European Council did just compare Brexit to an Alfred Hitchcock horror movie. He went there.
If you thought 2017 couldn't possibly be as weird as 2016, you might want to start thinking again.
