Ed Sheeran has praised Jeremy Corbyn in a recent interview with The Radio Times.
The Shape of You singer, who doesn't usually share his political views, claimed that he loves Corbyn's inclusive views.
This is the first time Sheeran has endorsed a political leader. Explaining his stance, he said: "He cares about all classes, races and generations, and that's how I was bought up - we need more people that care about everyone."
The 26-year-old shared that he doesn't usually share his political views because he believes that fans don't buy his records because they are interested in his opinions.
"I'm not Mr Political, I vote the way I feel I should but, I wont tell somebody else what to think."
He added: "If you knew me as a person, and listened to my music, you would be able to make a pretty educated guess that he would be the type of person that i'd really dig."
Sheeran's songs tend to be more about love than about politics with the singer saying that "people buy my records to make out, not listen to what I have to say".
In his most recent album Divide, Sheeran released his first song that touched upon politics, entitled What Do I Know? In the song, he suggests people are not interested in his opinions and only want to hear his music.
Sheeran also collected his MBE last week, receiving the accolade in the Queen's 2017 Birthday Honours for services to music and charity.
