Showbiz reporter Emma Kelly joined Jonny Gould and Ash to discuss the Emmy nominations.

Game of Thrones has received 23 nominations alone, closely followed by The People vs OJ Simpson with 22.

And Kelly, Deputy Showbiz Editor at the Daily Star online, insists the awards are no longer seen as a poor relation when compared to the Oscars.

"A good few years ago the Emmys were a lower rent kind of thing," she said. "But now there are shows like Game of Thrones, which are basically like films in themselves. They have massive production [values].

"We have shows like Veep, which has huge stars in it, and Sherlock, which are also basically mini-movies. You never really know who's going to win at these kinds of awards.

"I think it could be bigger than the Oscars in a couple of years."
