England cricketer Ben Stokes has been charged with affray in relation to an incident outside a Bristol nightclub last year.
Stokes has been charged along with two other men in connection with the scuffle outside the Mbargo club, which left one man with a fractured eyesocket.
A statement from the Crown Prosecution Service, which received findings from the police in November, read: "Following a review of all the available evidence, the CPS has today authorised the police to charge three men with affray in connection with the incident.
"Ben Stokes, 26, Ryan Ali, 28, and Ryan Hale, 26, are all due to appear before Bristol Magistrates' Court on a date to be fixed in relation to this charge."
Stokes was caught on CCTV apparently fighting with another man outside the Mbargo nightclub in September. Stokes' teammate Alex Hales was a bystander to the incident.
The Durham all-rounder, 26, remains suspended by the England cricket team while legal proceedings continue.
