President Erdogan has claimed that Europeans will not be able to safely walk on the streets if Europe continues with its current attitude, according to Reuters.
During an event for local journalists in Anarka he said: "If Europe continues this way, no European in any part of the world can walk safely on the streets.
"We, as Turkey, call on Europe to respect human rights and democracy."
Turkey has been caught up in an ever-worsening spat Germany and the Netherlands, after the two central European countries banned campaign appearances by pro-Erdogan Turkish ministers.
The speeches were intended to rally support for Mr Erdogan among the Turkish diaspora, ahead of a referendum in which he hopes to secure a raft of new powers. The Turkish leader reacted angrily when the speeches were blocked, accusing both Germany and the Netherlands of adopting Nazi policies.
