Dog expert Sheila Hamiliton-Andrews insists the responsibility for a dog attack which caused the death a young boy in Essex lies with the owner.
The child was taken to hospital after the attack, but later died from his injuries. A 29-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident
Hamilton-Andrews, chair of the Canine Behaviour and Training Society, firmly blamed the owner of the dog.
"I would like to convey my condolences to the family," she told Paul Ross. "Obviously this dog was not under the owner's control at the time of the attack.
"It's just so sad. It's a terrible situation all-round.
"It is deed, not breed. One has got to blame the owners. We've really got to look at increasing owner responsibilty in this country."
