'Explosive device' blows up at Canadian courthouse building

A suspected explosive device has blown up in a building which also houses the provincial courthouse in Saskatoon, Canada. 

The emergency services attended the scene at Kilborn Place today (March 30), according to CNN.

Police also said that a K9 bomb detection team and an explosives disposal unit are on the scene.

A statement released by Saskatoon Police Service said: "Investigators are dealing with what they believe is the detonation of an improvised explosive device.

"There are reports of some minor damage to the exterior of the building. There are no injuries."

No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
