Julia Hartley-Brewer has said separating women and men is "virtually barbaric" and "not actually feminist or empowering of women's situations at all."

Our presenter was discussing a music festival which is set to take place in Sweden in summer next year, with only women allowed to attend. The festival was established after four rapes and 23 sexual assaults were reported at Sweden's biggest festival, Bravalla.

Feminist and musician Grace Barrett also joined Julia and said: "I don’t think that we should be creating more segregation in the world we currently live in."

Instead we should be "creating more cohesion and connection." So this festival "definitely flies in the faces of that and therefore is backward step."

But Barrett believes there are "people in our world that feel unsafe" and we should ask ourselves what we can do about that.

Julia said "there are some people who are uncomfortable just walking down the street. We can't organise our world around a few women who are anxious about ordinary daily life."
