Julia Hartley-Brewer had a lively argument with a prominent journalist over the gender pay gap.
This follows experts warning the difference in pay between genders could take up to 100 years to close.
The campaign group called the Fawcett Society said progress to close the gap had "stalled."
Harriet Minter, who presents talkRADIO's Badass Women's Hour, said the gap specified the differences between full and part-time work.
She told Julia Hartley-Brewer: "The gender pay gap does specify part time and full time, it separates the two.
"What it's really saying is when we look at the industries that women dominate and the level they get to in their careers, men still dominate at the top of pretty much every industry.
"They particularly dominate the industries where there is more money and better pay and where women can’t get a foot in the door."
A lively discussion soon followed, with Julia pointing out “feminism was not about men earning more."
