Police in Canada have made a series of bizarre arrests after a car crash in a town outside Edmonton.
Officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) – also known as the Mounties – took five people into custody suspected of kidnapping a family.
For some reason, when the arrests were made, the individuals – a man, two women and two underage girls – were naked.
A representative from the RCMP said the five had forced a woman, her child and her father into a BMW from their home in Laduc County.
They are believed to have escaped from the five, and were helped by a man in a truck.
The crash is understood to have happened when the BMW rammed the truck and ended up in a ditch.
The family and the naked five are thought to have known each other, according to police.
The three adults face charges of resisting arrest and kidnapping.
