Frankfurt Airport has been evacuted after a security breach.

 

Some local outlets reported that a passenger was carrying an explosive device. However Frankfurt airport said the evacuation was ordered after a passenger "entered the security area before the security check had been completed". The airport said that German federal police cleared the departure hall "as a preventative measure."

Federal police have said the person responsible for the breach is not in custody. According to Sky News, it is not yet clear whether the breach was planned.

Those at the airport have been posting the event on Twitter, with people being moved from several terminals, causing widespread confusion.
