People won't notice the difference between the old and new version of Bake Off and the new presenters are even just like Mel and Sue, according to The Mirror's TV editor.
The Great British Bake Off returns to our TV screens next Tuesday (August 29), except this time it's on Channel 4 with new judge Prue Leith and new presenters Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.
Paul Hollywood returns as the only original cast member from the BBC version of the show.
Nicola Methven told Paul Ross that with the new series "people will watch this and they won’t really notice the difference" between the old and new version.
She thinks "somehow they’ve managed to make those new presenters seem very much like Mel and Sue even though they’re completely different people.”
However Methven revealed that Fielding has "definitely toned down the madcap side of him and is just a bit more mainstream," although he "does eat a marigold which is a slightly bizarre moment" in the first episode.
She added that Leith has "she seems to have managed to step into [Mary Berry's] shoes and done a good job."
