GCSE results day: Alan Sugar, Sadiq Khan and Scarlett Moffatt lead messages of support to students

Student receiving their GCSE results

Thursday, August 24, 2017

Students across the country are receiving their GCSE results today (August 24) and many celebrities have been expressing their support.

GCSE passes have dropped slightly this year in a variety of subjects. This is also the first year that some courses have been graded numerically rather than with letters.

This means grades go from nine to one, according to the BBC as new exams have been developed after politicians claimed the original ones were too easy.

But whether you've been given a nine or a one, you can probably take some comfort in the messages that celebrities have put out.

From Alan Sugar talking about how he never went to university but is still successful to Sadiq Khan expressing his good luck, it seems everyone is getting involved.
