George Galloway has defended himself against a caller who said he was guilty of "belittling" Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Earlier in his talkRADIO show, George had spoken to Professor John Curtice, a politics specialist at the University of Strathclyde, who discussed the fact the first post-Brexit poll showed the Conservative Party were 19 points ahead of Labour.

Ben, calling into the show, accused our host and Professor Curtic of belittling the Labour leader regarding this result.

George denied this, saying: "I’m certainly not belittling him.

"I don’t think Curtice was belittling him, he acknowledged that until the coup last summer, Labour and the Tories were roughly equal in the polls but they’re not now.

"We’d be living in denial if we didn’t acknowledge this."
