A fan of George Galloway called in direct from hospital, where he'd just been treated for a stroke - and was full of praise for the treatment he received.

John was being treated on the NHS at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. Although the NHS and its management continues to attract plenty of negative headlines, John told George the care he'd received was "world-class".

John said he feels "blessed to be born British" because of the treatment he has received, adding: “Without A&E services I could be dead today, I’ve been put into hospital to after having a mild stroke.

"The treatment I’ve had today is world-class and you would never get this in the private sector."
