George Galloway: 'Forget about walls, we should build stairs because Trump is scared of them'

While speaking a caller on his show, our presenter made a mocking suggestion

George Galloway has suggested a new way to defend against Donald Trump after taking a call about Theresa May's recent meeting with the President in Washington.

In photos which emerged from the meeting, the Prime Minister was pictured holding hands with Trump as they walked about the White House.

But it turns out there was a very simple reason for this.

While speaking to a young caller on his show, our presenter revealed the reason, and made a simple suggestion to help the anti-Trump lobby capitalise.

He said: "It's definitely true there were some comic moments in Theresa May’s visit to Donald Trump – not least when she was holding his hand in the rose garden.

"I wondered if it was over-intimacy - especially with Trump’s reputation - and if she ought to keep her distance from him, but it turned out she was holding his hand because he was scared of the stairs.

"The President is apparently terrified of stairs. So never mind walls, we’ll have to build stairs to defend ourselves from him."
