George Galloway has 'no confidence in government's ability to stop terror attacks'

George Galloway thinks someone assisted the Manchester Arena bomber

George Galloway has said he has no confidence in the government to be able to stop terrorism, as they didn't stop the recent terror attacks.

He made the comments after a caller spoke about his anger that so many attacks have recently taken place on UK soil.

The talkRADIO presenter said: "I have no confidence that the current administration at Westminster has any ability to do any better in stopping the next atrocities, than they proved able to stop those atrocities that have already happened.

"It's quite clear to me that all the arrests that took place in and around my house in Manchester were all failures because every single arrested person has now been released without charge.

"It is inconceivable that the mass murderer who murdered these young children and women and others as they came out of a concert in the Manchester Arena could not possibly have been acting alone.

"As there is now no one in custody suspected of assisting him, that must mean whoever did assist him remains at large. How long will it be before some other atrocity is planned and/or executed by them?"
