George Galloway has said the intelligence community is against Trump because he aims to "dramatically change the course of American politics", which threatens their "fiefdom."
Our host was responding to an email he'd received asking why the US president had faced opposition from these organisations.
He said: "Trump is confronted by the deepest of state organs.
"The so-called intelligence community – the secret spy agencies, the people who kill people, overthrow governments, subvert democratic processes, spy on Angela Merkel, spy on Francois Hollande, as revealed by Wikileaks – these people are dangerous enemies.
"They hate Trump because he means less profit, he’s a threat to their fiefdom. A million people, in seventeen agencies, with a vast budget...
"If you’re challenging that by seeking to dramatically change the course of American politics towards issues like NATO and Russia, Syria, and the wars of regime change the US has been involved in for a half a century or more, you’re a danger all right."
